Like all good writing, blogging (even the tumblelog variety) really should have an audience. Since I’m still sort of in a mental beta state regarding this bit of broadcasting, I haven’t really thought through all of that. So, writing a quick post to say “expect few updates, I’ll be away” feels a bit, well, odd. But, in the spirit of being a good beta tester, I figure I need to, you know, just act normal.

So, my best friend in the whole wide word is getting married this coming weekend and I get to stand up there in a monkey suit and be very proud and even try not to flub a toast.

And then I’ll be spending seven fun-filled days with my immediate family in Pawley’s Island, South Carolina at the rather unfortunately named Plantation Resort (it was still the 21st Century when South Carolina finally retired their confederate flag).

I’m excited and, of course, stressed because, of course, I still haven’t packed and it’s 10 at night and the rideshare van thing will be here at 5:30 tomorrow morning and I’m trying to pre-emptively guess what it is I’m bound to forget to pack since I always - ALWAYS - forget to pack something. And I haven’t slept much and I’m sorta getting a little bit of a cold and I’m oddly sort of stressed about my family for the first time I can ever remember. 

Soon enough, though, your regularly scheduled program of profanity laced pico-screeds and NSFW YouTube embeds will return.
